Festive Films on the Big Screen

Come and see your favourite festive films in an outdoor setting on the Big Screen in Centre Square. Limited seating will be available, or you could bring your own seat. People are being advised to wrap up warm. The films will also have subtitles.

It's a Wonderful Life changed to The Wizard of Oz

Please Note: Due to unforeseen circumstances the screening of It's a Wonderful Life on the Big Screen in Centre Square today (Thursday, December 10) has been changed to the Wizard of Oz.

The classic film, starring Judy Garland, will be screened at 6pm. The event is free and no ticket is needed.

Limited seating will be available, or you could bring your own seat. People are being advised to wrap up warm. The film will also have subtitles.

In the film based on the popular L.Frank Baum stories, Dorothy and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado's path and ends up in the land of Oz.

Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage.

Miracle on 34th Street

The remake of Miracle on 34th Street will be screened on Saturday 19 December 11.00am and 2.00pm with subtitles.

Six-year-old Susan discovers dreams can come true if you believe.

Traffic restrictions

Traffic restrictions will be in place for the Reindeer Parade on 15 Nov, Sarruga Fish on 26 Nov, and the Lantern Parade on 13 Dec. Take this into consideration when you plan your journey.

During the Middlesbrough Winter Festival there is free parking on Thursdays after 4pm in The Mall and Council car parks only.

Parking all day Saturday in the Zetland car park will be £1.50.

There is always free parking for the disabled

The Council allows free parking without time limits in all its pay and display car parks for disabled badge holders. This provision applies to all spaces in all types of car parks (long, short and limited-stay) and not just in dedicated disabled bays.
