EE and HB Afternoon tea

MFC Foundation are delighted to announce that Rockliffe Hall Golf and Spa Hotel have raised £3976 for the charity through the sales of their Afternoon Tea’s.

Thanks to their kind generosity, from September to January £1 from every tea sold at the luxurious five-star resort was donated to the Foundation.

Rockliffe Hall Chief Executive Eamonn Elliott presented a cheque to Head of MFC Foundation, Helena Bowman, prior to Middlesbrough’s Premier League fixture with Manchester United on Sunday, and he spoke about the strong link between the Foundation and the hotel.

"We're delighted to be able to donate such a healthy sum of money to a worthy cause,” he said. 

“At Rockliffe we take pride in supporting local charities and I'm sure our afternoon tea guests will also be pleased to know they're doing their bit. 

“This is an initiative we will continue with and I look forward to presenting another cheque to the MFC Foundation in the near future." 

Helena Bowman added: “Rockliffe Hall have been incredibly supportive of the Foundation for as long as I can remember, and their donation through sales of their Afternoon Tea’s is incredibly generous. 

“We’re very proud to be associated with one of the most iconic resorts and spas in the North East, and look forward to working with them for the foreseeable future.”

Rockliffe Hall will continue to pledge £1 from every Afternoon Tea to the Foundation, and we’d like to once again our gratitude for their kind donations. 

The funds raised will be used throughout our projects, continuing to raise aspirations and change lives in Teesside.
