Krispy Kreme Opening

The Hillstreet Shopping Centre welcomed a sweet new resident this morning, with the grand opening of the newest Krispy Kreme store. The kiosk-style store, which is designed like a giant Krispy Kreme box, opened at 10am to a queue of 35 people.

Jammy enough to be the first in line and win themselves a coveted Krispy Kreme Gold Card was Daniel Field from Billingham, who queued up since 7am. He was over the moon and said “I can’t believe that I’ve won a Gold Card! I’m going to be so popular each month when I cash in my double dozen, the early wake up was definitely worth it.”

Not only did Daniel pick up a delicious prize, but goody bags were also dished out to the first dozen people in the queue, as well as lots of fun activities and spot prizes to customers throughout the day.

Neil Williamson, Operations Director at Krispy Kreme, said “Thank you to everybody who came down to our jam-packed opening today in Middlesbrough. We had been looking forward to it for a long time and reception has been fantastic – we can’t wait to welcome lots more shoppers in the coming weeks!”

On offer are 16 varieties of delicious, melt-in-the-mouth treats – from the classic Original Glazed to the decadent Nutty Chocolatta filled with smooth Nutella. Traditionally bought by the dozen to share with friends and family, each doughnut will be delivered fresh daily from Krispy Kreme’s Hotlight store at Gateshead, to provide a little moment of joy every time.
