Turtle Bay food
  • Turtle Bay Caribbean restaurant and bar opening on 23rd April in Middlesbrough
  • Located on the Corporation Road
  • Bold and rustic dishes inspired by the Caribbean

As Turtle Bay Middlesbrough prepares to opens its doors for business on 23rd April, here’s a sneak peek at the delicious menu that will be on offer to all its guests.  Food is at the heart of the Turtle Bay experience – just as it’s central to the heart and soul of Caribbean culture.

The menu includes a vast choice of bold flavours and rustic dishes, all inspired by the laid back, social outlook of the Caribbean. It is meticulously researched and lovingly created and all the dishes are a taste sensation.

There’s a whole array of dishes to choose from including:

Their Beach Food Platter is the ultimate starter to dive into and share with a selection of our spicy jerk chicken wings, hot pepper roti, sweet corn fritters and garlic ‘N’ herb fritters. It’s a multitude of delicious Caribbean flavours all in one dish.

Indulge your taste buds with the ultimate in Caribbean street food – Street Burger.  It consists of a pure beef burger, topped with pulled jerk pork and lettuce on a sweet bun, served with sweet onion chutney, herb mayo and Caribbean slaw.

Turtle Bay’s famous signature dish is The Goat Curry - THE ultimate taste sensation.  Rich, slowly simmered and uniquely Caribbean, the goat is marinated in curry spices, scotch bonnet, sweet potatoes, citrus juices and ginger and served with rice ‘N’ peas.

With its unique flavours & fantastic aromas the jerk pit is the ultimate Caribbean barbecue. Our succulent authentic jerk dishes are marinated with herbs and spices and flame grilled to order over our own pit grill.  Turtle Bay’s Jerk Chicken is marinated for 24 hours and grilled with sour orange chutney and coconut shavings.  It comes with a choice of coconut jerk glaze or classic jerk glaze.

The island bar offering is something to behold, with a range of more than 40 Caribbean rums to choose from, all used to create a cocktail list that’s as cool as you’d expect from a culture that brought us Bob Marley.

Turtle Bay’s happy hour lasts from 11.30am – 7pm and then starts up again at 10pm with all cocktails 241 during that time!
