energy bill busting session at middlesbrough cycle centre this friday 8th december

A bill busting event to help people save money on their energy bills is taking place at Middlesbrough Cycle Centre.

Local charity Middlesbrough Environment City is running the advice session to allow people to compare their current energy deal with the rest of the market and help them to switch to a cheaper deal. Included as part our advice on how to save money we can also give tips on staying warm and cosy during the winter months.

On Friday 8th December from 9.30am until 4pm at the Cycle Centre inside Middlesbrough Bus Station, advisors will be on hand to help with free and independent advice. Make sure to bring your current energy bills or information along with you to help us make a comparison. To guarantee a spot please book an appointment by calling us for free on 0800 304 7084 or simply drop in to speak to one of our advisors.

Affordable Warmth Officer Amanda Martin said: “The cold has really crept up on us in recent weeks and it looks like it’s here to stay! This is the time to make sure you are not over-paying on your energy bills and shop around for a cheaper energy deal. You might save a little or you might save a lot but doing a comparison with us is an easy way to find out! There is no harm in looking.”

Advisors will also look at other ways you can get help such as the Warm Homes Discount, help available to replace broken boilers and the Priority Services Register which can provide additional support to a wide range of people, for example a password protection scheme or bills in alternative formats.
