The fantastic To Kill a King + Lulu open their Autumn Tour at the Westgarth Social Club on 20 October and lucky us we have a chance to catch them in two preview gigs this Sunday!
Self-taught on piano and guitar, Lula’s music combines essences and folk and pop. She learned her craft at the prestigious BRIT School, whose graduates also include Adele, Amy Winehouse and Imogen Heap.
She will be opening the sets followed by orchestral-folk band To Kill A King, whose music has received regular airplay on Radio1, Radio 2 and XfM with a new EP out called "Word of Mouth". These gigs will certainly get you talking!
Catch them at the Cleveland Centre 1.30-2.30pm near Costa Coffee.
Cleveland Centre manager Debbie Anderson said: “I have listened to both acts and they are fantastic – contemporary, talented and very much of the moment. It’s a real coup for The Cleveland Centre as I’m sure both Lula and To Kill A King have exciting musical careers ahead of them.”
